The PTSA at El Capitan is a group of parents, teachers and students advocating for all students. This guide summarizes the PTSA programs and includes the school phone numbers, a bell schedule, PTSA calendar, and phone directory. Keep this directory of information handy throughout the year.
PTSA GOALS
Communication Headquarter: integrate school information through the Grapevine newsletter, meetings, forums, PTSA web page, and e-mail updates.
Student Participation: encourage students to hold positions on our PTSA board and committees.
Parent Volunteers on Campus: help develop and coordinate a program for parent volunteers on campus.
MISSION STATEMENT
- To support and speak on behalf of all children and youth in schools, in the community and before governmental agencies and other organizations that make decisions affecting children;
- To assist parents in developing the skills they need to raise and protect their children; and
- To promote parent and public involvement in the public schools of this nation.

$4.25 of each membership goes to district, state and national PTA, but any amount above stays at El Capitan High School to help fund our educational enrichment programs. By joining PTSA you support our programs as well as State and National levels of PTA that advocate for all students. Even if you can’t volunteer at El Capitan, by joining PTSA you are supporting our school.
